The 18th Soalheira Cheese Fair will take place from 22–24 May 2026 in the village of Soalheira, Fundão.
Known as the home of the “Best Cheese in the World 2024/25”, the fair celebrates local cheese producers and traditional regional products including cheeses, cured meats, wines, and bread. Visitors can also enjoy cheese-based tasting menus, live music, folk performances, children’s activities, street theatre, donkey rides, and traditional cheese-making demonstrations.
Highlights include concerts by Afonso Dubraz on Friday evening and Descendentes on Saturday night, alongside plenty of cultural and gastronomic experiences throughout the weekend.
The event is organised by the Municipality of Fundão, the Soalheira Parish Council, and the Soalheira Cheese Producers Association.
