Join the traditional São João Festival in Escalos de Cima from 26–28 June 2026 for a weekend of music, dancing and local celebrations. The programme includes live performances by Puro Sentido and Império, DJs, folk dancing, community activities and the traditional São João bonfire. Visitors can also enjoy the burning of the traditional São João doll, cultural performances by local groups, and the popular Cavalhadas and Dance of the Azados. The festivities conclude on Sunday evening with a raffle draw and the announcement of the next festival committee.
